ON MY EASEL…

In The Garden
In The Garden is an original acrylic painting. It is painted on a 12″ x 12″ x 1/2″ gallery-wrapped canvas. It’s wired and ready to hang. For more information you’ll find it under Florals in my Daily Paintworks Gallery. Go to : Click Here
BEFORE YOU WRITE
I have been working on Before You Write : A guide to what you need to know Before You Write for several years now. Ive gotten a little sidetracked by my passion for painting, but now am devoting time to both writing and painting. I’ll finish the manuscript before your eyes here and will share some of the nuggets with you. So, if you’re interested in writing, stop by here for a dose of common sense how-to’s.
MINIMALISM or at Least SMALLERISM
I’m not sure smallerism is a word… In fact, I’m pretty sure it’s not. But I’ve given minimalism a try … in my mind… I just can’t seem to get a handle on getting rid of enough stuff to really embrace the full meaning of minimalism. So, now I’m shooting for smallerism. I feel that’s a much friendlier word. The end goal may be the same and hopefully the result will be the same. Sometimes we just have to trick ourselves into doing what’s best for us.
Increased motivation for smallerism came to light when I decided to convert my office/guest room into more studio space. I’ll keep the bed… gotta have some place for guests… but most of the other big items in the room must go to make room for another easel. It will be glorious to have more room to sling paint around. Stay tuned. This is gonna happen.
THE BOYS
Bonanza for The Boys this week… No time for photos when I dropped the open plastic treat container on the floor. Bugsy and Knuckles immediately went into hoover mode, vacuuming up as many as they could before I could sweep the rest into the dust pan. They were thrilled.
Today we are participating in the Sunday Selfie Blog Hop put on by The Cat on My Head blog. Please join in.
Here’s our selfie for the day… It’s Bugsy..
Have a great day.
Hugs,
Bugsy, Knuckles and HH
Great selfie of Bugsy! My human does not believe in either minimalism or smallism – she likes being surrounded by stuff she enjoys. She just wants it to be more orderly, and to make sure that either she really does enjoy it, or it is useful. That tends to encompass quite a lot of stuff, and she is perfectly happy with that.
That painting sure is pretty! Hey Bugsy, you’re looking good pal!
A beautiful painting Lou!
Looking good, Bugsy! Smallerism…the mom likes that concept since she can’t quite make minimalism either. 🙂
Beautiful painting. Nice selfie Bugsy.
We love your selfie, Bugsy! And HH’s painting, too! HH, we are glad you’re enjoying painting full time. 🙂
Ha ha about Bugsy and Knuckles going into hoover mode on those treats!
What a wonderful painting of Bugsy – no wonder Bugsy and Knuckles are feeling heavier!
