Good Morning one and all…. It’s me, Knuckles…. and do I have a tale to tell. And I’m the star of that tale, so sit back and listen up.
You know that HH moved her studio home. Well, now she’s taking oil painting lessons… Why? you might ask. After all, isn’t she just asking for permanent red, orange, purple and blue paw prints all over everything? Yes, I think she is. And I have warned her, so what happened is not my fault… not my fault at all.
Well, I must say, that she thought she had prepared for the inevitable. She did put a drying rack in the closet in the bathroom for her paintings. And when on Tuesday, she painted her first oil painting, she did take said painting into the bathroom. Now, she couldn’t open that closet door with her hands holding that painting, so she set it on the counter by the sink.
In the meantime, I wandered into the bathroom.. (it’s one of the areas I patrol, you know)… and noticing me, she waved me out of the room and followed me and closed the door behind her. I’m sure at that point, she sighed in relief cuz the painting was shut in the bathroom and the door was a secure barrier.
Oh…Oh… true, the door was closed, but she did not double check to see where I was. You see, mastermind that I am, I scooted back into the bathroom just before she closed the door. Two hours later, Bugsy found me and started pawing to get in with me…
I heard a huge groan from HH just before she opened the door to free me from my confinement… What did she see? Paw prints, very colorful paw prints. Yes, I had walked across the painting, probably several times, cuz there were paw prints in shades of magenta and Caribbean blue all over the lid to the toilet seat, in the sink and on the counter.
Long story short… HH scrubbed and got it all up… and she learned a valuable lesson about doors, closets and checking twice to see where I am. And I learned a valuable lesson, I don’t look so great in magenta.
First thing Uncle Jim said, “Send me the pictures.” Unfortunately, HH was too concerned about cleaning everything up. She didn’t think to take pictures. Next time, and even though she says she’s learned that lesson and there won’t be a next time, we’re sure she’s wrong about that…. MOL, right?
Yesterday was the last day of the 30 Day challenge. Here’s one of the pictures from the series…. You can see all of them CLICK HERE if you’re interested…

Aw gee, I’m bummed there were no pictures!
You’ll have to set some cling film to wrap round round those paws if you leave paintings about with wet paint.
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
We would like to see your artful paws too! Great selfie boys!
OH KNUCKLES, this is FABULOUS… YOU have taken up OIL PAINTING!! Well at least this ONCE. BaaaaaaaWaaaah.
Guess HH has really learned a LOT from her first attempt!!! RIGHT???
Knuckles, maybe YOU should be taking the oil painting lessons. We woulda loved to see photos of your “painting.” 😉
Heh-heh, great story and great selfies, but we would have LOVED to seen pics of the painting in the bathroom, too!
Nice selfie, boys! Knuckles, we’re so bummed there aren’t any pictures!
I love your selfies and that story. I bet you could be a painter like Quint at Colehaus Cats. I love the sunflower drawing.
Hmm…the next time the paw print happening is scheduled (and there will be a next time, right? …if HH consults your calendar, she would probably see when you’ve scheduled the next event), perhaps she could avail herself of the opportunity to brush up on her macro photography. We would then have the privilege of picking out which color paw print would most complement our decore and also have a chance to supplement the dry-cleaning budget 😀
