Saturday was the day of the Green Gables fund-raiser. I don’t think my painting sold as I haven’t heard that it did, but I am happy to report that my photograph of the roof of Green Gables did sell.
It was one taken (as was this one of the Northwest River in Chesapeake, Virginia) back in the day of using my good ol’ film camera. Back before we touched things up with Photoshop… back in the day of light meters you held in your hand.
I’m so used to my digital camera now, I imagine I wouldn’t do well with the film one without a refresher course, but I’m glad I did that photo of the roof of Green Gables and that it sold for the cause.
If I find the digital image of it in my files somewhere, I’ll post it one day. For now, enjoy the reflection of Fall on the river.
Have a great day.
Well done to you. Have a marvellous Monday.
Best wishes Molly
just beautiful and concats!
Lovely photo Lou, and I hope yours did actually sell. I’ve been revisiting my film images and find I like some of them more than similar digital images. Now I just need to find a reliable negative scanner since scanning the prints just doesn’t do it.
I love your photograph of the tree and it’s reflection on the water Lou.
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
