Bugsy Here: It’s my turn to blog.
It seems to me that I would get a lot more food if I could just restrain myself and not gobble it up the instant HH fills my dish (and by “fills my dish,” I mean puts the meager amount in my bowl that she does.)
I’ve heard her talk about me and I’ve seen her posts… For example:
— photos of us staring at her for 2 hours before our feeding time..
— comments about us searching the kitchen for every scrap and crumb we can find…
— statements about the way I used to head butt the gravity feeder to get more food to come out of it… ( and for any of you who still have a gravity feeder, the head-butting really works)…
–waking her at four in the morning to ask her to make breakfast just a bit early… etc.
Don’t you think I’m a little embarrassed by these behaviors? Well, I’m gonna test my theory. From now on, I’ll just take a bite or two then save the rest for later in the day. That should show her that she can trust me and fill the dish all the way…
First, I need to get Knuckles on board, so he doesn’t eat my food when I’m not looking. Whew! This is complicated.
To start, you can tell HH it’s okay to load the food into my dish to the brim. It’s a new me… I’m just gonna eat what I need for fuel… no more pigging out (my apologies to Porky)! Yep… new man here in the eating department… I really am… wink…wink!!!
Have a great day and thanks for your help.
hugs, Bugsy
LOL Bugsy we believe you even if everyone else says that’s a likely story. Have a tremendous Thursday.
Best wishes Molly
Bugsy says to tell you thanks for your faith in him. Hugs
Our Hitch used to rip open the bags the dry food came in. He’s scratch and bite and work st it until he managed to free the kibble trapped inside. Now we keep the kibble in a plastic bucket with a snap on lid. I think he could get in it if he spent some time figuring it out, but sticking under the counter helps keep him away. Now we hide the treats too. Otherwise they are opened by the laser sharp claw. A constant battle that I’m just barely winning.
Yes, I keep their food in a container similar to what you describe and I keep in it a cupboard with a childproof lock….Otherwise…. Bugs would eat all the time….. Thanks for your comment… Makes me feel better that we’re not the only ones with this ravenous thing going on.
WE have a Gravity/Self Feeder… fur our Dry Kibble… we love it… We think Everybuddy should have one, don’t you???
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your comment… Yes, everybuddy should have one…. HH took mine away because I would headbutt it to get all the food to fall out at once. It seems she wanted gravity to do the job. My way was more efficient… doncha think?
It SOUNDS like a plan… but I don’t think you can stick to it, Bugsy!
Bugsy when there is food involved all good manners go out the window.
Hugs madi your bfff
Good luck with that, Bugsy. It would never work for me because Wally would always eat all my food. ~Ernie
Good luck with that, Bugsy. Let us know how it works out, okay? 🙂
