Today’s Tip
Sometimes my mind is a sieve… not like a sieve… it is an actual sieve… For example, I recently found a poem in one of my notebooks — don’t know where it is now — but it was in my hand writing with my editing scribbles on it.
I read it and really liked it. I assumed I had written it. I don’t copy poems, so I had to have made it up. But, because it was good, I doubted I had written it. Consequently, I didn’t use it or show it to anyone at the time.
That day taught me a lesson. Not only should you sign your work to protect it as yours, but you should sign it to remember that it is yours.
Since that day, I sign all my work when I do it… writing, painting, whatever… just in case I run into it in a file or notebook some day and can’t remember if it’s mine or not.
So that’s my tip to you: Always sign (or at least initial) everything you create….
You should print it on this blog so we can all read it. Have a terrific Tuesday.
Best wishes Molly
Sounds like good advice.
We think WE will take that HIGH road and you can take the Low one…
I need to put my paw print on everything!
We love the colors in the painting and a very good tip. Mom puts our name on all our photos…I guess if someone wanted one they could crop some of the out but lots are near me.
