Preparing this painting for Day 5 took a special kind of patience. When doing a 30 in 30, I always paint at least a day ahead. It’s just too much stress to actually give myself the deadline of putting up one by the end of the day.
So yesterday, I sat down at the studio to paint. I had Yellow Bird and Knuckles going on a Safari in mind. So I started out and it was going great, but I was using watercolor paper and pretty soon the jungle started looking pretty muddy and Knuckles changed color three times. So just before leaving the studio, I took out the gesso and before I knew it, all I had left of the first painting was a bit of Knuckles and the Yellow Bird. I decided, I’d redo the whole thing on a canvas panel this afternoon at the condo….
Ha…!!! Bugsy and Knuckles decided to make it a painting challenge of their own.
I was just about finished when Knuckles took a dive onto the painting board and flipped it. Unfortunately, my glass of dirty painting water was on the board. It flew into the air and the green/brown water rained down on all of us.. Luckily, I snatched the painting to safety. And so ends my painting at home unless I lock myself in the bathroom.
So today, I present the “Safari” for your viewing pleasure. Wish I had taken pics of the chaos, but things just happened too quickly.
Have a great Friday….
hugs, HH (Lou)
LOl that was some mischief. Have a fabulous Friday.
Best wishes Molly
Yes, the boys do MISCHIEF in caps.
That’s a great painting. The birdie is very brave to sit there. 🙂
Thanks… Glad you like the Safari. They are off to meet the Lion. That’s who they should be afraid of….
OMC about Knuckles! LOVE that painting! xoxo
You are right Cody… Knuckles is in the “doghouse” today.
That is absolutely adorable!
Thanks so much. Glad you stopped by.

Thanks so much Cecliia…. I’m glad you like it. Have a great weekend.
I can’t even imagine trying to paint with Bugsy and Knuckles around. I absolutely adore this painting. The colors are so vibrant. Hugs, Janet
You are right Janet…. I’ve learned my lesson. I’ll have to build a cage in my condo… not for the boys, but for me to slip into to paint…
Hugs
It sounds like the process of painting this one was quite an adventure!
Wow, that was quite something! But we adore how the painting turned out…just love it! (And we have really enjoyed your series so far, great paintings HH!)
Very cute…. so will you take up POTTY PAINTING???? LOL
That is very nice! The chaos sounds fun too!
Oops! We three kitties will assure you that it just “adds character” to work at home. Yup. We’re the Character-adder-onners.
That chaos sounds, well … chaotic (in a fun way)! LOVE the safari painting!
