It’s Day 3 of the 30 Paintings in 30 Days Challenge. This piece was calming to paint — in shades of the same color scheme with enhancement, I was surprised when I looked at it and saw the landscape appear. It drew me in and I put “…stay…stay…stay” into it as a reminder to stay in the present moment.
Staying is so helpful when painting, when writing, when doing just about anything. And, the more you practice it, the more your creativity will come to life. Try it.
KNUCKLES VIEW OF “STAY”
“Staying” has an entirely different meaning for Bugsy and me. It means… “STOP!” It means… “DON’T GRAB THE BACON OUTA THAT PAN!” And it means… “IF YOU MOVE ONE MUSCLE, YOU’RE IN BIG TROUBLE, BUSTER BOY!”
Let it be known that, from this point forward, Bugsy and I intend to interpret the word “stay” by HH’s definition at the beginning of this post. So……….. if she tells me to stay when I’m reaching for the bacon, I’ll just remind myself to be fully present in the here-and-nowness of it all as I run off to the other room to eat it.
You all are my witnesses, I’m right, right?
