Two days after Christmas… by Lou
Do you have multiple epiphanies between Christmas and New Years? I do. I don’t know about you, but for some reason the minute Christmas is over, my To-Do-List Generator shifts into overdrive.
I’m not talking about all the things I have to accomplish before the end of the year. Instead, I’m dreaming up a to-do list for the coming year. And at this time of year, it’s generally a long one and totally unrealistic.
I dream of painting multiple paintings in a variety of series and selling them all. I’m writing two books right now and add to this list outlines for two or three more. And, then, of course, there are the obligatory goals of losing weight, exercising more, being nice, and attaining perfection by June 1st (a girl can dream, can’t she?).
I don’t know about your list, but mine will continue to grow until January 2nd when I begin to whittle it down to a manageable size. All this list-making used to frustrate me. Now, I know it’s part of my yearly ritual and all will work out in the end…. After all, I did pretty well this year, didn’t I? I know I didn’t attain perfection, but that’s overrated anyway.
Hope you have a wonderful New Year’s Eve….
AND NOW follow-up on the Christmas Tree Dress by KNUCKLES…
So, friends, I searched high and low for an appropriate place to put that Green and White Christmas Tree dress….. Many gave me suggestions. I had a good chuckle reading some of them. But alas, and alack, but I had to reject them as unrealistic… After all, I didn’t want to hurt HH’s feelings.
As it turned out, HH is the one who found a suitable home for the hideous beautiful dress she so stupidly generously bought for me thinking I would enjoy wearing it throughout the holiday season.
Sophie…. the dog at the studio…. took the dress off our hands and she seemed to love Bugsy’s ELF OUTFIT as well. Both fit her perfectly and I guess it’s a dog thing, but she actually seems to like wearing them… go figure.
Here are a couple of pictures. And you know the best part of HH giving the outfits away…..? (They won’t be around next year.) Thanks Sophie!!!
We are desperately avoiding any to do lists as we’d probably faint at all the things that need doing and still haven’t been done. One step at a time over here. But we wish you well and look forward to more paintings and good luck with the writing.
Have a fabulous Friday.
Best wishes Molly
Thanks for the good wishes Molly… Yes, I’m beginning to agree that avoidance of the to do list is probably wise…

OMC – That doggie is so cute. I can’t blame you tho for not wanting to wear it. I wouldn’t let M put something on me either, although she has talked about it a time or two.
Have a great New Year’s Eve…..
