I’m home this morning, catching up on some computer work and thought I’d better let you know how the weekend went.
First of all… thanks for all the good wishes on the weather. It worked for all of Saturday and half of Sunday. Not quite the whole time, but hopefully enough that the artists had time to make some sales. We, of course, were safe inside the Civic Center where the book fair was housed. And, sadly enough, we did better once it started to rain Sunday afternoon because all those strolling up and down the street looking at art, sought shelter in the book fair.
It was a great weekend. Sheila sold out of her book. It just came out last week and she sold every copy she had with her and has a couple on pre-order… So she was very happy. If you haven’t seen her book, it’s called The Frog and the Dog: Ozzie Learns Responsibility. It’s a great book and Sheila did all the artwork for it too. Nice… Have a look… HERE
My biggest hit at the book fair (although I did sell a few of Max’s books) was a greeting card I had made of Knuckles diving into his tunnel… The caption is… If you need me, I’ll be in my office.
If I heard a chuckle…. it was someone looking at that.
Thanks to Marshall Frank, Holly Fox Vellekoop and Valerie Allen for all they do to organize the book fair each year… You are great!!!
All in all had a great weekend. About 40 to 45 authors in the book fair each day and lots of artists dropping in as well. Had a wonderful surprise… an artist I know (on the Internet only) dropped in to surprise a mutual friend ( I didn’t know they knew each other) and dropped by to see me at the book fair. What a wonderful surprise Cheri… Thanks so much for making my day.
The Boys — They weren’t too happy to stay home with all the art and book festivities going on, but they made it through and there seemed to be toys everywhere when I came home each day, so I can only imagine that they had a good time too. Have I told you that the boys are writing their own book…. it’s about how to train us… This oughta be good … HA!. Hopefully it’ll be finished before next year.
Back to work for me…. enjoy your week…..
We’re glad the weekend was successful! Maybe we ought to have purred for rain the entire weekend, though, to bring people inside on Saturday too. 🙂
Yep…I never thought of that strategy until it happened
Glad it was a successful weekend. Love the training human idea. Have a marvellous Monday.
Best wishes Molly.
Thanks…Yes, The Boys are pretty secretive about what will be in the book… Could be crazy daisy…
he he – I love that card with Knuckles going into his tunnel. Congratulations on a successful book fair. Oh how I wish I still lived there so I could have attended.
Wish you were closer too

Thanks Cheri …enjoy your vacation.
We’re glad the book fair was a success! And we can’t wait to read the boys’ book. It should be a good one. 🙂
Thanks..hopefully the bok sill be out by sometime in March
Great to see you at the fair, Lou, as well as all the other writers! Thanks for your support of the community.
