Paint
ing a cat a day is intense. I love it though. Today, I have painted a wee little cat into this landscape for a change of pace. Tomorrow I will resume posting the cat portraits. Hope you like this little guy. This is the scene across from our art studio. The cat, named by my friend Jeanette, is Smokey.
Note: (Just in case you didn’t see it before. Here’s the note explaining what I’m doing.) Okay…. writing friends. I’m taking the painting challenge of painting a painting per day for the month of January. Part of it is that I need to post my paintings on my blog as well as on the blog of the creator of the challenge, Leslie Saeta. So, I’m just giving you a heads up that I’ll be illustrating my blog posts during the month of January with artwork that is totally unrelated to the topic of the post. Thanks for understanding.

Wow! And I thought I was being bold by branching out to using acrylics instead of my usual oils. I’m impressed. Keep up the good work.
Thanks so much for the comment. I’m on my way over to look at your acrylics…

LOVE how you incorporated the tiny cat into this beautiful scene, just gorgeous!
Thanks Caren… Just thought it was a day for a wee little cat. Glad you like it. Lou
