Well… It’s almost that time of year… the time to assess what we’ve done for the entire year and what we’re going to do next year. The path to achieving my goals is never a smooth one and time seems to go by all too quickly. So, this year, I thought I’d get a jump on it and not wait until New Year’s Eve to come up with this plan.
It’s not that I don’t stay on track. It’s that I want to accomplish too much and I have a tendency to flit from one task and one goal to another. That, my friends, slows the progress on all goals. Now that I’ve identified the problem, I’m going to put my tasks in the order that I want to complete them. I’ll then concentrate the greatest percentage of work time on the top goal and will work on the other goals in little fits and starts until that top goal is completed.
Sounds like a workable plan to me. So before the year starts, here’s my list…
1. I have a book signing event in March. For that I want to have Max’s Mystery completed and Max’s book: My Tenth Life.
2. Before summer is over, I want to have the book I’ve been promising all of you (Before You Write) finished and ready for publication….
3. I am going to write a novel this year. By the end of the year, I will have the first draft finished and be well into the second draft.
There’s my list. What is yours?
thanks for stopping in today, lou! good luck on accomplishing your goals! 🙂 happy 2013!
