New pens and pencils and one notebook… now I’m ready to write.

Sometimes I think that I became a writer because I’m addicted to hanging out in office supply stores.  I mean, is there anything better than walking down the aisles with notebooks on every side and boxes of pens and pencils wanting to jump into my cart. I love it.  Art supply stores are good too, but my heart beats a little faster when I see reams of paper stacked to the ceiling in an office supply house..

Yesterday, was a great day. I stopped by Staples because I was low on pens…. I walked out with one new notebook, a box of my favorite pens and a 28-pack of cadoozles (if you don’t know, they’re short mechanical pencils that feel really great in my hand when I writing and when I’m sketching).

Some of you may have gone paperless. I’ve tried, and I have converted some things to just the computer, but I don’t think I ever will go completely paperless.  It’s just not in my nature. I love all the supplies that go with writing including paperclips, tape, rulers, staplers, etc… I love the smell of them, the feel of them and the look of them. I do have a Kindle, so it’s not that I’m against technology. It’s just that I grew up on writing supplies and I won’t ever get over it.
