Introduction to Before You Write

The posts on Before You Write will be divided into five main categories: Writing Fiction; Writing Non-fiction, Writing General, Marketing, and Publishing. You’ll be able to tell at the top of each post what the category of the day is.

I’d love for you to read and comment on all of the posts, but I realize you may have more interest in some categories than others. So, choose  which categories interest you most and please comment. I love to hear from you and want you to let me know if I can help by covering a topic of particular interest to you.

Here’s the schedule of blog post categories…

Monday: Before You Write Fiction

Tuesday: Before You Write Non-Fiction

Wednesday: Writing General

Thursday: Marketing

Friday: Publishing

Saturday and Sunday will be used for miscellaneous postings.  I’ll pass on links, news or we’ll discuss a topic of special interest. There you have it….

I’m impressed with the posting schedual! I jot down one for myself in my diary, but I’m far to timid to actually SAY publicly how often I want to write. Once I do that, it becomes obvious when I skip a deadline!
I recently had a friend tell me that she read all my articles (I autoupdate on google) but only realized it was ME writing them a week or so ago! She thought I was just linking to interesting things! I’m not sure if I should be sad about that or not…

Thanks for stopping by and the comment… Yes, I might regret the public proclamation of my writing schedule, but think it will keep me on track… We’ll see.

  2. I’m eager to read more Lou. I have written all non-fiction to this point but may be more curious to read your thoughts on fiction. That would be something new for me and I would like to find a way to include some short pieces with my other writing.

Welcome to the world of fiction then. I’ll go into much of the nuts and bolts to make it easier to start…. so hope you join the discussion… Thanks for the comment…. Lou
