Well… I’m into another painting challenge… This time it’s put on by the Riverview Art Studios and Gallery (that’s where I have my studio). Anyway, we are painting on a theme and completing one painting a day. My theme is Cats in Motion.

Day 5 – Cats in Motion

This process is very similar to writing. In writing, we establish a theme for our book, but throughout the book the theme does not remain rigid. Rather, it bends and changes as you go through ultra dramatic parts and through calmer parts.

When I chose my theme for this painting challenge, I pictured cats flying through the air because that’s what my cats do…. They are wild. But I realized that the definition of Motion is different for each cat.  Today’s cat is licking her paw… and that is motion to her.
